As SEOs the world over do their best to guesstimate Google’s decision making factors when deciding how to rank a site, the team at Entrepreneur.com has put together a cheat sheet of likely factors that influence ranking.

Gone are the days when meta tags and backlinks could make a site rank easily. It is rumoured that Google is using a set of at least 200 ranking factors in their algorithm—which include social signals, user-interaction, and trust.

Providing a bird’s eye view of these factors is an infographic by Entrepreneur.com and Backlinko which provide some much needed perspective. The piece covers all of the known 200 ranking signals that Google supposedly uses to rank sites and pages. It comes with the caveat, however, that many of these aren’t proven or officially acknowledged as ranking signals.
